1.     LEONE CABS is a private driver-and-vehicle hire platform providing cab transportation services in Sierra Leone via online booking at website www.leonecabs.com. By booking, you (PASSENGER) agree to the company’s terms & conditions on the main passenger’s details form of the booking process.

If you do not agree to company terms & conditions, please DO NOT book a journey with LEONE CABS via the website. Upon booking on another individual’s behalf, by clicking ‘I agree to Leone Cabs terms & conditions’ box; you act as an authorised representative to accept company terms & condition on their behalf.
2.     Within Leone Cabs terms & conditions, the following expressions are defined unless the context otherwise requires:

2.1. ‘PDVH’ – Private driver-and-vehicle hire’
2.2. ‘AGREED PICK-UP POINT’ – Appointed location to be picked up by PDVH as specified in appointment details
2.3. ‘AGREED TIME’ – Set time and date for you (PASSENGER) to be picked up PDVH as specified in appointment details
2.4. ‘BOOKING’ – Assignment and booking of Leone Cabs trips effected via our website for single, return or split trips as PASSENGER prefers
2.5. ‘LC T&Cs’ – Leone Cabs Terms & conditions
2.6. ‘CARD’ – Credit, debit or payment card used to complete booking
2.7.  ‘CARD CHARGES’ – Expenses due for credit card companies used to pay for cab journey
2.8. ‘DETAILS’ – Details provided by PASSENGER or representative upon booking a journey, including pick-up date, time, location, drop-off location and personal details
2.9. ‘FARE’ – Fee paid by PASSENGER or representative for the accepted quote issued
2.10.                 ‘GOODS’ – The items or cargo received in vehicle travel as part of online booking
2.11.                 ‘TRIP’ – Journey undertaken from pick-up address to drop-off address provided by PASSENGER or representative
2.12.                 ‘PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS’ – Any specific requirements you may have relating to disabled facilities or otherwise
2.13.                 ‘PASSENGER’ – Any individual carried in vehicle via this website
2.14.                 ‘REPRESENTATIVE’ – Anyone booking on behalf of PASSENGER
2.15.                 ‘PERSONAL DATA’ – Details provided by PASSENGER or representative regarding physical and email addresses, telephone number and card payment details.
2.16.                 ‘QUOTE’ – Fixed price quote that PASSENGER or REPRESENTATIVE receives via our website for cab journey/trip
2.17.                 ‘TERMS’ – Terms & conditions between Leone Cabs and passenger
2.18.                 ‘WEBSITE’ - Leone Cabs website and online platform located at www.leonecabs.com on desktop, tablet and mobile
2.19.                 ‘YOU’ – Person who enters personal and booking details
2.20.                 ‘VEHICLE’ – Motor vehicle available and hired for private booking and transport by YOU
3. When booking for a cab journey via the Leone Cabs website, please provide accurate appointment details as YOU are responsible for any booking errors.

3.1. Leone Cabs acts as a PDVH merchant providing transportation services within Freetown and nationwide across Sierra Leone as a contract is established to deliver this onto YOU upon booking confirmation. If another PDVH partyhas been included during ongoing booking with Leone Cabs, YOU agree to settle agreements with additional parties separately unless YOU advise us otherwise.

3.2. By booking with Leone Cabs, YOU warrant you are aged 18 and over with legal obligation to complete said transaction

3.3. Leone Cabs makes no guarantees to fulfil exact cab requirements for upcoming TRIPS and reserves the right to decline BOOKINGS that YOU have made with full refund and relevant claims within reason directly associated with cab journey. *Air travel costs and compensation excluded*

3.4. BOOKING DETAILS provided via our WEBSITE will be recorded by Leone Cabs for travel purposes for YOU and/or PASSENGER. Personal data shall be retained with utmost security from 3rd parties other than ourselves with GDPR compliance and the company’s commercial purposes.

3.5. ‘Cookies’ may be used on the Leone Cabs website to track your web behaviour of specific areas or pages of interest to enhance and engage your future web visits upon enquiries and bookings of TRIPS. YOU or PASSENGER has customer autonomy to reject ‘cookies’ via your web browser settings if necessary, for your online activity.

3.6. If you do not wish to receive email updates and marketing promotion of travel updates and cab info, please refer to the opt-out options provided or email us directly as info@leonecabs.com
4.     Upon entering booking details, Leone Cabs provides YOU with set QUOTES from the cab packages available as publicised on the website when fulfilling journey requirements.

4.1. YOU are responsible for verifying BOOKING DETAILS as accurate as possible when using Leone Cabs website, thereby constituting as an offer for acceptance or rejection by the company. BOOKING confirmation is only completed once seen on the website’s final booking page progress and subsequent email is received by YOU.

4.2.  All BOOKINGS are subject to LC T&Cs except within the event of dispute and agreement provisions, where such provisions may override LC T&Cs

4.3.  Leone Cabs reserves the right to correct, edit and alter typographical errors and package pricing as appropriate on WEBSITE, as full refunds will be issued if YOU withdraw offer and do not wish to complete transaction any further.

4.4. YOU and/or PASSENGER acknowledges Leone Cabs is the main agent and merchant of cab transportation in Freetown as our management will endeavour to rectify any complaints that may occur in respect with Leone Cabs services. Any legal action taken by YOU will be managed between us as a company and resolved as mutually agreeable as possible.

4.5.  For BOOKINGS pre-paid by card, Leone Cabs holds entitlement to collect all monies due for booked TRIP from YOU before journey arrangement, service expenses and final confirmation of requirements for driver and vehicle beforehand of service usage.

4.6. YOU agree that upon completion of BOOKING, Leone Cabs reserves the right to novate transportation contract of assignment to another appropriate cab party if necessary or beyond company capabilities to meet fulfilment of overall BOOKING DETAILS and TRIP from this website for PASSENGER.
5. Upon paying for booking, YOU agree to pay by CARD ONLY to comply with LC T&Cs and optimise this website’s transaction nature when arranging Cab services before arrival in Freetown, Sierra Leone (West Africa).

5.1. Once booking is confirmed on website’s payment screen, no cancellations or adjustments are permitted except with reference to clause 7 of LC T&Cs as stated.

5.2. If your CARD payment is refused by card issuer for whatever reason, Leone Cabs will be unable to process and authorise any BOOKINGS.

5.3. Leone Cabs provides YOU with an e-receipt to your email address inputted during the BOOKING procedure. For VAT or price breakdown enquiries, please contact us directly relating to our company fees.

5.4. Extra requirements (e.g. children seats, etc.) are not included and/or covered from your payment. Additional cargo or luggage upon boarding our vehicles resulting in a new/extra VEHICLE being called out for TRIP may incur extra charges, which is to be paid directly upon meeting driver for appointment of journey. Tips are accepted within Sierra Leone at PASSENGER discretion.

5.5. In circumstances where TRIP deviations or personal travel requests are made, additional charges incurred by PASSENGER who must settle the outstanding fee directly to the driver during journey.

5.6. ALL Leone Cabs package QUOTES include VAT onto standard rate before final calculation and publication on website.

5.7. One promotional offer is permitted per BOOKING and per TRIP if applicable by Leone Cabs at specific time period, with definition of exact PERSONAL DATA as YOU and/or PASSENGER specifies during BOOKING process.
6.1.     Leone Cabs is not liable for YOU for insurance, damage or loss sustained to your cargo, luggage or personal items during TRIP’s course, as this becomes your responsibility to have these GOODS insured beforehand from country of origin before arrival in Sierra Leone.
7. Cancelled BOOKINGS can be made by emailing paymentsleonecabs@gmail.com with booking reference quoted on email’s subject title.

7.1. If YOU send a BOOKING cancellation via email and within the cancellation cut-off time period as stated from WEBSITE booking confirmation page, and paid from your CARD; YOU will receive a full refund of the QUOTE paid (exclusive of CARD costs).

7.2. If YOU send a BOOKING cancellation via email for any of our VEHICLES carrying a maximum of 4 PASSENGERS (excluding driver) per appointment within ONE WEEK and above; you are entitled up to 50% refund of QUOTE paid (exclusive of CARD costs). If cancellation of similar nature falls LESS than ONE WEEK, no refund is issued out.

7.3. In event where PDVH does not turn up at designated pick-up location for YOU within 20 mins of AGREED TIME (40 mins if pick-up from Aberdeen, Freetown), and you do not ride with PDVH for overall appointment at all; a full refund of QUOTE will be issued back to you (inclusive of CARD costs) if paid in advance and in-full as settlement for any claim in respect of PDVH’s absence and failure to transport YOU. However, if YOU decide to continue with TRIP where PDVH turns up after 20 mins of set pick-up time, no refund will be issued to YOU.

7.4. In event you are absent from designated pick-up location within 20 mins of AGREED TIME (PDVH arrives before YOU), PDVH makes final discretion on treating your absence as a cancellation and NO REFUND will be issued (including CARD costs paid) for set appointment booked for TRIP. If PDVH decides to wait for YOU over 20 mins, YOU may accrue additional charges with respect to waiting time and/or parking charges which are to be settled directly to VEHICLE driver.

7.5. Regarding refunds on pre-paid BOOKINGS from cancellations or complaints, our management will advise you accordingly duration-wise to expect refund.
8.     Any estimated TRIP times, duration of journey and arrival time presented by PDVH and Leone Cabs are taken as indicatives and are not subject to traffic and/or weather conditions and final route that driver takes. YOU as a PASSENGER are responsible for ensuring a set AGREED TIME during booking process that allows YOU sufficient time to arrive at your destination for punctual check-in (e.g. international flight, meeting, personal errand, etc.).

8.1. Leone Cabs and/or PDVH may keep you informed of status of upcoming TRIP/S via email and SMS/mobile phone or WhatsApp although timing and precise delivery of these updates is not guaranteed, with no liability for indirect or consequential losses of monies from omission of delay of these updates.
9.     PDVH reserves right at discretion to terminate TRIP if YOU or your party’s conduct of behaviour is disruptive, inappropriate or life-threatening to yours and/or the driver’s well-being and safety. Both Leone Cabs and PDVH are not liable for extra charges incurred by YOU and/or your party during course of TRIP.

9.1. No alcohol, drugs or weaponry is permitted onto VEHICLES at anytime during the TRIP.

9.2. PDVH reserves the right to refuse YOU or PASSENGERS any carriage at start of TRIP if suspected to be under alcoholic, drug or violent behaviour.
10.     PDVH reserves right to refuse carriage of:
-       Hazardous, dangerous, flammable/explosive, military-related or noxious items that are illegal under Sierra Leonean law

-       Deteriorative items within transit

10.1. Without prejudice to clause 10, both PDVH hold no liability towards consequential loss, damage and breakage of fragile GOODS on board TRIP arising from omissions, acts of negligence of PDVH and its drivers.

10.2. Without prejudice to clause 10, both PDVH hold no liability for loss or damage both directly and indirectly from:

-       Breakdown, accident or adverse weather
-       Acts or omissions on part of YOU or REPRESENTATIVE who settled QUOTE for overall TRIP
-       Any act or environmental circumstance beyond control of PDVH (e.g. strikes, industrial action/labour dispute, governmental regulations, legal restrictions, fires, natural disasters, religious acts, riots, hostilities, civil war, terrorism, rebellion, military action, confiscation, requisition or destruction by/upon order of government institutions and/or public authorities in Sierra Leone).
11.     For any complaints regarding our services provided by PDVH, please attempt to resolve with VEHICLE driver first via phone or in-person to prevent further escalation of dispute. If further action is necessary, please contact Leone Cabs via email at info@leonecabs.com within 48 hours to be dealt with accordingly.

11.1. If Leone Cabs is unable to resolve complaint from YOU regarding service provision by PDVH to mutual satisfaction, an independent third party will be involved selected by Leone Cabs as YOU remain bound by final decision of additional party.

11.2. Any disputes that arise between YOU and PDVH makes Leone Cabs not liable towards claims, damage and demands (both actual and consequential) of any nature arising out or within matters of dispute.
12.     Leone Cabs agrees as a cabbing business in Sierra Leone of British management to sustain confidentiality of YOU, REPRESENTATIVE or PASSENGER’s PERSONAL DATA collected during BOOKING process. We are GDPR compliant as your data shall not be shared to third parties without your consent. This policy is subject to change according to data legislation and will be amended on our website accordingly.
13. LC T&Cs form entire agreement between YOU, PDVH and company management when providing transportation services in Freetown, Sierra Leone. By agreeing, you warrant of not being led to agreement by potential misrepresentation of us as a cabbing business within Sierra Leone.

13.1. Failure or non-compliance by any party at any time to enforce right claims or provisions within reason of LC T&Cs is not construed as being waivered.

13.2. Any notice to Leone Cabs regarding our services or further experiences must be addressed in writing to us via FB Messenger, WhatsApp or phone.

13.3. Notices for YOU shall be reverted back in writing via email from email address YOU provided during BOOKING process.

13.4. LC T&Cs are constructed and governed under British law and management within Sierra Leone’s transport sector and environment. YOU conclusively agree to Leone Cabs exclusive benefits to submit any dispute to our management, but nothing herein prevents Leone Cabs from taking legal proceedings against YOU in any further instituition of competent authority.
